'Kersford' shown on 19th century map as a group of buildings around an irregular shaped yard with a pump & a track running northwest to southeast on the eastern side.

At Kersford, Crediton, the probable site of a medieval estate which was recorded in 1340 as being included in the Tithing which took its name from nearby Rudge Farm. Knights fees owed by the estate in 1598 are given.
