Vis=4/6/1982 (griffith). During observation of the stripping of soil for a gas pipeline, a number of scatters of shells were visible. Mainly bivalve shells - cockles etc. No features visible, no pits. Interpreted as possibly fairly recent dumps of shell brought up from the sea for manuring.
