Full description

Griffiths, D. M., 02/07/1984, Farmstead (Worksheet). SDV85364.

Site visit 2nd July 1984. Nothing remains visible of the house, the site of which is under high grass and nettles. There is a short stretch of stone wall alsong the roadside. To the south of this is a small overgrown farmyard. On the line of the Barnstaple bypass. The house of this name on modern Ordnance Survey maps is modern.

Plots 269 and 270 recorded as house and orchards on the Tithe Map and apportionment, part of a property called Woodstrait which was occupied at that time by Elizabeth Colwill.
