Full description
Rose-Troup, F., 1939, The Anglo-Saxon Charter of Ottery St Mary, 209 (Article in Serial). SDV99025.
Fenny Bridges. In the discussion of the bounds of Ottery St Mary, as described in a charter of 1061, Rose-Troup points out that the parish boundary (identified as the same as the Saxon one) runs a little to the south of the road at this point. No doubt aligned on the ancient ford south of the bridge. This may have carried the Roman road.
