ROSE-TROUP, Untitled Source (Migrated Record). SDV22906.

This ford is mentioned in a charter of 1061 describing the boundary of ottery st. Mary and is described as "the more southern old ford". In a 17th century description it is called "ruthernel" ford, probably a mis-spelling.(the ford to the north is sy09se/70) (rose-troup).
