Full description

Bligh Bond, F., 1903, Devonshire Screens and Rood Lofts. Part II, 444 (Article in Serial). SDV6113.

Rood-screen at St. Mary the Virgin parish church in Bratton Clovelly. Lower part of screen to south side of nave remains. Rest removed in 1820.

Two sections of panelling survive from the 15th century rood screen which show signs of painting although this is likely to be restored colour.
