Summary

A portion of the boundary of 48, shiphay lane, cockington, torbay is a narrow cross-section of a medieval boundary bank. It is all that remains of the bank which ran in an easterly direction from the southern end of dairy hill and met the western side of shiphay lane almost opposite the present shiphay park road. The boundary relates to the administration of the manor of shiphay collaton (walker).
