Rock quarry. Tithe map field nos.512 (rock quarries and waste) and 514 (new orchard on waste). Also mentioned in sale document of 1888 (dro). Vis=6/7/1982(griffiths) site of rock quarries now taken over by modern westleigh quarry (st01ne/32), limekilns occur along the roadside (see subsheets), and in the grounds of hillside cottage (see st01ne/26).
