A linear group of ten round barrows plus three small mounds set on a similar alignment are situated on high ground with impressive vistas in every direction. The barrows lie in close-cropped moorland turf and little surface store is evident. Their average diameter is 9.6m and 0.5m high. The majority are round barrows with flat tops although one ring barrow survives. Most have been superficially disturbed.

A mound circa 8m in diameter is identifiable as an earthwork on aerial photographs of 1951 at circa SX57195986 on the south-west facing slopes of Crownhill Down, overlooking Old Bottle Hill leat. The mound remains visible on digital images derived from lidar data captured in 2013. The earthwork is interpreted as a barrow of Bronze Age date.
