Summary

Barrow 'F' is one of thirteen in the cemetery on the ridge of Crownhill Down of 13.0 metres diameter by 0.7 metres high. This is the only barrow in the group shown on historic maps. The barrow is still visible on aerial photographs

Barrow (F) damaged on the north and south-east sides. The largest tumuli of the cemetery of 11 metres diameter by 0.8 metres high with a robbed central cairn. Other details: Monument 759.

An oval mound circa 14 by 15m across is identifiable as an earthwork on aerial photographs of 1951 at circa SX57205978 on the south-west facing slopes of Crownhill Down, overlooking Old Bottle Hill leat. The mound was clearly visible on images derived from aerial photographs of 2007 and remains visible on digital images derived from lidar data captured in 2013. The earthwork is interpreted as a slightly mutilated barrow of Bronze Age date.
