Summary

The site of a former windmill on furzeham common, brixham, torbay. The mill was advertised as newly-built in 1818. Its modern machinery is described, and a dwelling, stables and pigsties were attached. The windmill was in use at least up to the time of the tithe apportionment. The base was still standing in 1925 but it has since been demolished (minchinton, 1977). There were two windmills at brixham. The one on furzeham common was advertised as including a bake house in 1826 (douch).
