The driad schooner was wrecked near raven rock during a great storm in the last half of the 19th century. The crews were saved by rocket apparatusiron full rigged ship. Built 1874, 1035 ton. From shields for valparaiso. Lost in the blizzard of march 1891 with no survivors (larn).(elliot).
