Chope, R. P., 1928-1929, Hartland Quay Bank, 241-242 (Article in Serial). SDV21940.

Limekiln on Hartland Quay. Like the pier, it is thought to have been finished in the late 16th century and there are references to it in the early 17th century. A drawing of 1814 clearly shows the limekiln and the quay.
