Roman road. Visible as disused terrace above the present road before crossing the railway. Its original metalling was observed here previously (davidson) (margary). Vis=15/10/1992 (simpson). Located at sy22429984. There is a pronounced terrace running right across the field on opposite side of road to moorcox farm. Can also be seen running through the garden of "harmony" to the w. Not visible e of "steepway". Dean milles states that the road went straight up the hill.
