Summary

Godford mill, awliscombe. Millhouse of stone, slate and some brick. Water supplied from a dam of water brought by leat from the river wolf. The overshot wheel does not remain. There had been two pairs of millstones. The mill may have been operating as early as 1730, but the earliest certain evidence of its existence is the tithe apportionment. It was in operation into the 20th century.(phillips + wilson).

Grist mill probably dating from the xviii century and rebuilt. Now demolished (dcc survey).

Above entry states that the mill has been demolished but two residents of awliscombe have reported that the mill is still there with workings.
