Full description

Abell, G. J., 1932-1933, The Stone at Exmouth, 181 (Article in Serial). SDV102530.

There was a limekiln at Straight Point close to the 'water shute'. Barges discharging limestone from Babbacombe and Berry Head, on the beach. It fell into disuse in the late 19th century when Exmouth Docks were built.
