Summary

The great pond of polsloe. A large dam spanning the valley of the mynchen lake, i. E. The nuns' stream, is all that remains of a pond that probably once served st. Katherine's priory, polsloe, as a fish and mill pond. Constructed of stone and earth it is over 100m in length, about 40m wide at the base and about 9m high in the lowest part of the valley. The pond would have covered about six acres.(everett).

The great pond of polsloe. A large dam spanning the valley of the mynchen lake, i. E. The nuns' stream, is all that remains of a pond that probably once served st. Katherine's priory, polsloe, as a fish and mill pond. Constructed of stone and earth it is over 100m in length, about 40m wide at the base and about 9m high in the lowest part of the valley. The pond would have covered about six acres.(everett).
