Full description
Finberg, H. P. R., 1942 - 1946, The Cartulary of Tavistock, 56-7 (Article in Serial). SDV256425.
Chapel of the Four Evangelists, to the east of where the Abbey was later built. This was the chapel of St Matthew in St Matthew's Street mentioned in a deed of 1309. Used as a dwelling house in the 18th century. Demolished in 1833. Present market place now on the site.
