Summary

East westacott farm, ashreigney. Westacott was recorded in a 1637 survey of the lands of the oxenham family and was then the largest farm in the parish. By 1800 it had left the oxenham family and been divided into east and west westacott, or westacott barton (hoskins, 1947-1949). It was first recorded in 1333 but may have been in existence at domesday (hoskins, 1956-1958).
