Yarcombe beacon.(elev 250m), elizabethan. Pnd map shows this about 1/4-mile nw of village.

Near "beacon" but view obtainable is very restricted except to the south


Exeter Museums Archaeological Field Unit, 1992 - 1993, Blackdown Hills Survey Archive (Archive - Survey). SDV324187.

Site visit 24th September 1992. The most likely site for a beacon here would be on the summit of beacon hill to the west of the settlement called beacon. Most of this area is ploughed.
