Summary

At the time of the Domesday Survey in 1086 the manor was held by Fulchere the Bowman, prior to 1066 it was held by Brictmer. John de Clifford is recorded as holding the manor in 1325 and John Prideaux in 1416. It was bought by John Acland in abot 1553.

In 1325 the owner of columbjohn was john de clifford and in 1416, john prideaux (fletcher).
