Reichel, O. J., 1928 - 1939, The Hundred of Halberton in Early Times, 1-4,6,7,11,24,27,30,43,47-52 (Article in Monograph). SDV51621.

Halberton was Halbretona in Domesday. If was forfeited subjects land held by the King. Before the conquest it was held by Brictric or Bristric. Early descents of the manor given. Part of Halberton is included in Tiverton Hundred.
