Reichel, O. J., 1928 - 1938, The Hundred of Roborough (Walchentona) in Early Times, 102,106,108,109,110,119,132 (Article in Monograph). SDV336618.

In the present parish of Whitchurch was a manor recorded as Wicerce in the Domesday survey. The subsequent history of its possession down to 1428 is given. In 1285 it gave its name to one of ten tithings in the Hundred of Roborough.
