Full description

Hookedrise marked, comprising a large farmhouse with a courtyard of farm buildings adjoining the south-west end. There is a further range of buildings to the south-east. A pump is also marked behind the house.

Hookedrise was part of the estate of Oteri at the time of the Domesday Book of 1086. It was held with Waringston in Buckerell, by Warin of William Capra. Before the conquest it was held by Bristric or Brictric. Early descents given.
