Full description

Earthwork embankment shown on OS 25" (1880s & 1906) maps running northwest from SX53316432 to SX52996447. Other details: Also on OS 25" (1906) map.

A stone embankment is visible east of River Meavy. This was intended to link the granite tramway (see PRN 15148) with the railway on the west of the river, but the landowner did not allow this. More recently stone removed for a dam, hence incomplete appearance.
