Early christian stone which was formerly at east linnacombe farm. Probably c10 repaired and re-erected in 1985. Monolithic granite standing stone. Inscribed on the front with a greek cross at the top below which is a circle then a st. Andrew's cross and another circle. Carved on the rear is a greek cross then 2 circles joined by a vertical line (doe).

A stone probably dating from the 10th century and recently used to prop up the roof of a farmyard building has been repaired and repositioned on a Devon village green.

A plaque explaining the history was unveiled alongside the stone. In 1978 an accidental collision with a tractor caused the stone to split in two. The incised stone is probably from the early Christian period. The markings on the stone include an incised circle and a cross, a neat circle, a St Andrews cross and a curved linear groove.

The stone was erected on the green as its original location is unknown.
