Unknown, 1840, Membury (Cartographic). SDV340628.

Membury Tithe Map Field No 319 is recorded as 'Burial Ground'.


Pulman, G. P. R., 1865, The Book of the Axe, 582 (Monograph). SDV124122.

Pulman records burial in 1779.


Anon, 1882, Membury Quakers' Meeting House, 30-32 (Article in Serial). SDV340627.

A register of marriages, births, deaths and burials owned by Mrs Reynolds of Bridport about 1881 shows the first burial on 5th July 1660 and the last burial in 1755.

Quaker burial ground north of old meeting house beside the lane running from Lee Hill Farm. Purchased by public subscription in 1926 to preserve it. Nearly 80 burials.

Visited on 28th September 1992. Quaker burial site within small hedged enclosure in south corner of pasture field at junction with Goyle Acre Lane. No gravestones. Well maintained.
