Le Messurier, B., 1965-1967, Blacksmith's Shop as a Dartmoor Placename, 12-13 (Article in Serial). SDV305719.

Ruins of building at manor bound mark between Ilsington and Bagtor (Ilsington Manor Court Rolls 1835). Called Old Shop in 1853. Today represented by a gorse covered granite rubble mound in an area of tin mining. Known as Blacksmith's Shop.
