Lawson, M. D., 1982, Spinster's Rock and its prehistoric context (Undergraduate Dissertation). SDV238218.
In 1982, the resident of Sandsgate House claimed to have a stone circle in the garden. This is an arrangement of seven granite boulders with an eighth centre stone; diameter 12.5 metres. The feature was surveyed by M. Lawson and T. Greeves, who decided that it was probably not a prehistoric circle. It could either be entirely natural, or the result of garden landscaping.
