Gibbet Moor Cross. Plausible site for gallows in that it lies in the centre of an area where six parishes converge. Adjacent to the line of North Devon Link Road 2 preferred route.

Gibbet Moor in the south-west corner of Stoodleigh parish may have been the site of a gallows. A visible but what may be described as a marginal, liminial site at the junction of two or more parishes appears to be that typically chosen for the site of a gallows.
