Vis=3/2/1983 (weddell). Tributary stream of r yeo in front of south hayne bungalow. Looks fairly modern, flow of water runs round s side: see worksheet sketch. No sign of leat or any mill appurtenances. On line of preferred route of ndlr 2.

Vis=29/3/1987 (cotton) weir at hayne quarry, newtown. Appears to be concrete. It is in the path of the north devon link road. Stream runs e-w, north of a361 draining south hayne quarries and plantation. Just below bridge carrying driveway to site of roadman's bungalow, which is completely choked with debris, the stream has broken round weir leaving it dry and is undermining roadbed of main road before rejoining original bed (cotton).
