Vis=15/4/1982 (os) one of two turf mounds found after swaleing gittisham hill in march 1982. Barrow e. A circular mound 0.25m high, 6.4m diameter. No ditch but a faint bank linking it with barrow d, possibly representing the old ground surface prior to the turf stripping for their construction (os).

Vis=3/11/1992 (simpson + noble) not located. Many low banks, hollows + undulations in this area (simpson + noble).

One of two small barrows (see also site 317) located towards hilltop on gentle northeast slope. Mound 5.3 metres northeast-southwest by 6 metres northwest-southeast by 0.3 metres high. Cattle track runs across, and is cutting into, northeast side of mound. Feature covered in grass/heather. No sign of possible bank linking the two barrows as mentioned in SMR 1982.
