Full description

Griffiths, D. M., 12/06/1984, Fieldwalking on route of proposed bypass (Personal Comment). SDV59921.

Site visit 12th June 1984. Field under corn and not walked. Occupies a hillslope. No features visible from nearby. On line of Barnstaple bypass.


Griffiths, D. M., 12/10/1984, Preliminary Archaeological Assessment of the Alternative Routes of the Barnstaple Bypass, Site 1 (Un-published). SDV356775.

The field name is suggestive of former earthworks. Site on one of the proposed alternative routes for the Barnstaple bypass.
