Summary
Mattocks down small stone. A standing stone. Probably not on its original site. It marks at present one angle of an equilateral triangle of which the other two stones on mattocks down mark the other two angles. Appears to have suffered a recent reduction in size. May have been rolled to its present position. White quartz. Two circles once here, plans extant. Stones used in hedges and foundations of long lane cottage.

Ordnance Survey Archaeology Division, Untitled Source (Ordnance Survey Archaeology Division Card). SDV24.
Vis=17/9/1953 (os) no grounds for the statement that it may not be in the original position. Sides 0.8m, 0.8m, 0.9m, and 0.7m.
