Palmer, m. G. /tda/69(1937)488/standing stones of the ilfracombe district.
Standing stone in ladies wood. A difficult stone to find as it is hidden in luxurious vegetation in swampy ground deep in the valley with old high banks on two sides of it. Possibly marked the track in down yeo lane. A recumbent amorphous mass of white quartz much overgrown with lichens, mosses and even higher forms of plant-life. Lies upon its side; conical outline if standing.(palmer).
