Two small blocked shafts within woodland. One is on the north side of a relict boundary and the other lies about 20m east, to the south of the boundary. No other obvious signs of mining in the vicinity so they were probably trial shafts.

Des=worksheet(sketch). Mine shafts north-west of gallant le bower. Vis=16/3/1983 (greeves, t. ). Two small blocked shafts within woodland. One is on the north side of a relict boundary and the other lies about 20m east, to the south of the boundary. No other obvious signs of mining in the vicinity so they were probably trial shafts.(worksheet).
