Site of Amory's Almshouses, Clovelly Road. Probably founded in 17th century. Almshouses were sited in 19th century to west of workhouse on what is now Clovelly Road. See Duncan for details and MDV503 for Strange's Almshouses with which Amory's Almshouses are sometimes confused. Further research needed. No almshouses survive on the Clovelly road site.
