Summary

Scatter of flints, some apparently from the same pebble, found in 1906 in front of the boat house. The flints were embedded in the scarp of an old land surface that had been exposed.

Os 1905 map shows golf links at roughly ss457433 and a possible boat house at ss45724357 (horner).

At woolacombe flakes can be traced right up to the sand links. In 1906 young found 23 pieces of flint, some apparently from the same pebble, on a patch of drift in front of the boat house at the foot of the links. Embedded in a scarp of the old land surface recently exposed and normally overlain by wind-blown sand (young).
