BUCK, Untitled Source (Migrated Record). SDV219466.

A stamping floor surveyed in 2003 at sx43867248 had a timber frame supporting a cast iron shaft mounted on a stone and concrete base 2.4m x 2.4m. The site includes remnants of the stamping and processing floor used when ‘wheal frementor’ in ‘devon great consols’ was reworked producing arsenopyrite c1925. A surface depression at sx43787251 is c35m long x 10m deep and has four vertical posts visible in the centre. The water comes from an iron pipe at sx43827253 and onto four timber planks for 3m before continuing down the valley (buck).
