Three bowl barrows 180 metres east and 300 metres north-east of Stowford Cross. This monument, which falls into two areas and includes three bowl barrows situated on a high upland ridge known as Bratton Down overlooking the valley of a tributary to the River Bray. The northern barrow mound is 17.9 metres in diameter and 0.7 metres high. The quarry ditch survives as buried features, approximately 3 metres wide. Bowl barrows are funerary monuments dating from the Late Neolithic period to the Late Bronze Age. Despite reduction in their height through cultivation, the three bowl barrows survive comparatively well and will contain archaeological and environmental information relating to the monument and its surrounding landscape. A group of three Bronze Age bowl barrows are visible to the east of Stowford Cross. They are under pasture but have been spread by ploughing. The northernmost barrow is 17.9 metres in diameter and 0.7 metres high.
