Churchyard cross at St Peter's parish church in Zeal Monachorum. In front of south porch, Type B. A pedestal, of one square step with a projecting top edge, bearing a socket-stone which is square at the base with small ribbed corner shoulders and octagonal above with a hollow-chamfered top edge. On this remains a fragment of the shaft, square at the base with pointed corner spurs and octagonal above. One of two in the churchyard. Classified as 14th to 15th century. Cross A: consisting of a pedestal, socket stone and fragment of shaft and dated to the 14/15th century is in front of the south porch. Other details: Cross A.

Cross-base probably 15th century. Granite. The base of a cross stands approximately 350 millimeters high. It is square in section at the bottom and has chamfered edges with pyramid stops above. It is set in a large socket-stone, itself square in section but with the top corners chamfered with large broach stops. This sits on a plinth the top of which has a hollow-chamfered soffit moulding onto a stone rubble base.

Churchyard cross 4 meters south of Zeal monachorum church porch. It is one of 2 standing crosses found in the churchyard, the other being some 6 meters to the southwest, and lies at the convergence of 2 paths through the churchyard. The cross survives as a pedestal, socket stone and fragment of shaft of a type thought to date to the 15th century. The pedestal is 1.67 meters square, is constructed from large slabs of granite and has a single step, with a protruding top edge. It is 0.34meters high. Above the pedestal is a socket stone which is 0.33 meters high, 1.05 meters square at the base, is octagonal above and has chamfered edges. Within the socket stone is a fragment of shaft. This is 0.37 meters high, 0.36 meters square at the base, tapers upwards and also becomes octagonal above.

This monument includes a churchyard cross standing 4 metres south of Zeal Monachorum church porch. It is one of two standing crosses in the churchyard, the other being some 6 metres to the south-west, and lies at the convergence of two paths through the churchyard. The cross survives as a pedestal, socket stone and fragment of shaft of a type thought to date to the 15th century. The pedestal is 1.67 metres square, is constructed from large slabs of granite and has a single step, with a protruding top edge. It is 0.34 metres high. Above the pedestal is a socket stone which is 0.33 metres high, 1.05 metres square at the base, is octagonal above and has chamfered edges. Within the socket stone is a fragment of shaft. Zeal Monachorum Churchyard SS719040
The churchyard cross stands in front of south porch of the church, it consists of one square pedestal, with a projecting top edge, bearing a socket-stone which is square at the base with small ribbed corner shoulders and octagonal above with hollow-chamfered top edge. On this are the remains of a fragment of cross shaft, square at the base with pointed corner spurs and octagonal above.
Cross shaft height 0.40 metres, base 0.38 by 0.35 metres, top 0.38 by 0.33 metres. Socket stone 1.09 by 1.09 metres by 0.30 metres high. Pedestal 1.62 by 1.75 metres by 0.33 metres high.

Remains of two 14th-15th century churchyard crosses. Cross A: at SS71980400 is a stone cross (classified as 14/15th century) in the churchyard, in front of the south porch. A pedestal, socket-stone and fragment of shaft remains.
