Devon County Council, 1838-1848, Tithe Mosaic, approximately 1838-1848 (Cartographic). SDV349431.

Unknown, 1840, Kingsteignton (Cartographic). SDV339592.

Site of Abbrook Farm. The 19th century Tithe Map shows Abbrook Farm and outbuildings on Plot Number 544 to be located to the northwest of the later building.

Gover, J. E. B. + Mawer, A. + Stenton, F. M., 1932, The Place-Names of Devon: Part Two, 479 (Monograph). SDV337894.

Abbrook was mentioned as 'Abbrok(e)' in 1330 and 1335.

Griffiths, D. M., 1983, Untitled Source (Site Visit). SDV339761.

The farmhouse was replaced a little further to southeast in late 19th century. Quarrying has destroyed some of the site of the earlier buildings, and a car park overlies the site of another building. A stone wall survives, and possibly the site of further buildings, but no trace visible.
