Full description

Palmer, M. G., 1937, Standing Stones of the Ilfracombe District, 489, Pl. 67, Fig. 3 (Article in Serial). SDV64392.

Standing stone near the 16th hole of Lee Golf links. Roughly diamond shaped in plan with the longer axis running east to west and pointed towards the top.

The white quartz stone measures 4 feet (1.22 metres) by 2 feet (0.61 metres) wide by 1 foot 7 inches (0.48 metres) thick. Other details: Illustration.

One of three standing stones north of Damage Barton. This northernmost stone is a boulder almost entirely of white quartz about 2 foot 9 inches (0.84 metres) by 1 foot 6 inches (0.46 metres) and standing to 4 foot 6 inches (1.37 metres) high. The stone stands 18.29 metres south of the east end of a stone wall which forms part of a field boundary. Other details: Standing Stone (b).
