A Second World War pillbox is visible as a structure on aerial photographs of the 1940s to the 1980s at Dawlish Warren. The pillbox has been demolished and its location is now occupied by the Boathouse Pub.

Untitled Source (Migrated Record). SDV2244.

Vis=21/11/1995 (horner + dick) this site has been demolished. Area now grass with 'lumps and bumps'. It was however recorded on an ap of 1974 and on a teignbridge district council development plan (undated) both of which are with the warren warden service (horner).

Vis=-/-/1988 (hellis) pillbox of local pattern, similar to burgh island, square with bow one end for machine gun. Gunport sides 1, 2 and 4, machine gun side 3 (hellis).

A hexagonal pillbox of Second World War date is visible as a structure on aerial photographs of 1946 to 1988 at Dawlish Warren. The pillbox has now been demolished, probably in advance of the redevelopment of the site as the Boathouse Pub.
