A series of depressions and mounds are visible as earthworks on visualisations derived from lidar data captured in 2019. The earthworks are situated beneath north-west facing woodland north of Bere Alston.
The earthworks correspond with the earthworks, shafts and sluices of the disused Wheal Jenny lead mine depicted on the Ordnance Survey 25 inch First Edition map and available maps thereafter. The area is visible as woodland in aerial photographs dating from the 1940s onwards.
Some linear ditches are visible either side of the mine which are interpreted as possible sections of Lumburn Leat (MDV130741).
