Palmer, M. G., 1937, Standing Stones of the Ilfracombe District, 487-488 (Article in Serial). SDV64392.

Stone. Height 813mm, width 864mm, thickness 610mm, elevation 213m. Standing stone at Holwell. Farm takes its name from the spring in the hollow and the stone may have served to mark the way to it. Possibly moved from another nearby site. Of quartz, it has suffered from fracture.
