'Old Limekilns' marked on 1880s-1890s 25 inch Ordnance Survey map, to north of site of 'Old Quarry' to west of Bampton.

Remains of a double-fronted limekiln in Druidshayne Quarry behind Bampton School, now the focal point of the Millennium Green Project. A notice in the Sherborne Mercury dated 19/02/1798, advertising the sale of the unexpired term of the lease of Westbrook and Druitshayne includes a rock of excellent lime and a limekiln. In 1861, Druitshayne kiln and quarry belonged to the Combehead Estate.
