Full description

Chanter, J. F. + Reed, H., 1907, Second Report of the Church Plate Committee, 129 (Article in Serial). SDV70301.

Church plate in parish church. Chalice number one; Elizabethan with usual foliated band. Conical bowl; stem with angular enlargement instead of knop. Foot with foliated band. Mark: 'I. C. ' in square shield (probably J. Coton, Exeter, 1575). Chalice number two; modern medieval shape and electro-plated. Paten, plain on stand. Marks: (i) 'I. E. ' in four-lobed shield; (ii) - (iv) same repeated. Inscription pricked: 'I. B. , Vicor. W. F. , I. B. , C. W.1684'. Flagon; modern medieval and electroplated. Alms dish, pewter. Mark: 'Thomas Hutton'.
