Mogridge's quarry. First shown on os map of 1891 (os map).

TITHE MAP, Untitled Source (Report - Survey). SDV69667.

Vis=12/1/1984 (griffiths) quarry same size + shape as shown on 1891 map and unlikely to have been used since then. Now used as rubbish dump. Name presumably derives from landowner, who was geo mogerage at the time of the tithe map. Probably a 19th century quarry. Not shown on tithe map. Field no 442, lower newpark (tithe map).

A geophysical survey was undertaken in 2001 in the field in which the quarry was situated. At that time the former quarry pit had been recently partially infilled with agricultural debris.
