Doggett, N., 1983, The North Devon Link Road (Stage One). Sampford Peverell to Tiverton, F.23 (Un-published). SDV363254.

A pipe trench along the northern fence line of the North Devon Link Road cut through the lane at SS96991385 revealing three layers of road make-up. These appeared to be quite modern, possibly laid to give a firmer surface to the lane, although they could represent the infillling of a holloway. The lane may be Anglo Saxon in origin.
